State-of-the-Art Performance:

Ciao Wireless features a comprehensive product line of Radial Power Combiners and Power Dividers. With full customization in order to meet your exact specifications, Ciao Wireless can offer frequency coverage over most custom and specialized operating bands of the frequency spectrum, from 250 MHz to 30.0 GHz. Ciao Wireless designs have been utilized in multiple Hi-Reliability field applications, including proven Hi-Power Handling Capability performance for levels up to 30 kW, ensuring reliability while providing stable performance with operation under the most stringent of conditions. Ciao Wireless has delivered units with as few as 4 ports to as many as 100, operating in bands from 400 MHz to 30 GHz, and 30 kW average power, although higher power levels and combining orders are possible. Ciao designs feature low losses, varying from 0.1 dB at UHF frequencies to 0.5 dB at K-Band, independent of the number of inputs.

Ciao Wireless' Radial Combiners and Dividers allow an amplifier system to remain on the air should one or more amplifier modules fail. And, "hot replacement" of failed amplifiers is permitted while the system remains in operation. Ciao's Radial Combiners and Dividers are tolerant of amplifier phase and amplitude mismatches, of which, the effects can be accurately simulated.

Proven Design Techniques:

Ciao Wireless' Radial Combiners and Dividers are N-Way, in-phase, non-resonant radial transmission line structures. They combine or divide in a single step. This means that Ciao Wireless' Radial Combiners and Dividers have inherently lower losses than those of corporate structures such as binary trees of Wilkinson combiners. In addition, and unlike most coporate combiners, radial combining orders need not be binary multiples.

Ciao Wireless utilizes an air-dielectric and purely reactive design. Mode suppressors nor isolation resistors are used in Ciao's designs, thereby avoiding topology interferences, heat-sinking problems and associated losses. Ciao Wirelss' Radial Power Combiners and Dividers are precision machined and feature field replaceable connectors. The design, being simple but yet rugged, is made to perform within and withstand harsh environments.

Flexible Configuration and Packaging Concepts:

Ciao Wireless design flexibility allows a wide variety of packaging, mounting and connector configurations, including "Combined-Stacked" units in which the combiner and divider are integrated within the same housing, reducing overall size and space required in the system. Most of Ciao's designs are custom and are developed around standard and previously developed design concepts, in order to meet specific electrical, mechanical and environmental requirements.

Isolators can be easily integrated within the Ciao Wireless designs, again saving the customer precious integration time, money and space in avoiding the integration of isolators after the Ciao Wireless units are received at the customer site.
